I did read it, that Marcia died. A sad thing if you ask me.

I first started watching her when she was on Newhart. I basically grew up watching her on TV. She was a very funny lady, and her work as Edna was very deserving of an Emmy. In a show that has been some times great, some times shitty, she was always perfect as Edna (as well as all the other voices she provided). Mostly though, by all accounts she was a wonderful, loving person.

She provided me with a lot of laughs over my lifetime, a bit of art is the least I can do as a 'So long, Mrs. K'.

Well, I do like the Simpsons alot and watch them regularly, but usually the german dubbing.

Yes. She voiced Edna from the shows start in 1989, until her death at 70. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1985, and that's what finally claimed her. She was the secretary on the Bob Newhart show in the 70's, and was known for being on Hollywood squares in the 70's and 80's. She did a lot of voices on the Simpsons (she got a grammy for her voice acting in 1990). It might not affect you much, it's leaving a gaping hole for us long time fans.

Rest in peace then, Mrs. Wallace.
As for the german dubbing, the voice actor for Marge died in 2006 (just before that movie, I think.I dind't know anything about her person until she was no more. She had a very unique voice and died at the age of 70. I miss her voice.

It's been a while since I watched the show. Still, she was always one of my favorite characters, mostly because she reminded me of my 5th grade science teacher.

I read about her passing... I remember her voice acting from the Simpsons though I didn't know her name and am unfamiliar with her other work.
