If you don't know what egoboo is, you might read about it at the Amazing Stories website when the art is posted. I was asked to do the illustration by one of the columnists, who writes about science fiction fandom for the site. However, if you don't want to wait for the column to be posted, "egoboo" is a compound word meaning "ego" plus "boost." When you do something good, you should get egoboo. When someone else does good, you give *him* egoboo. The word has been semi-seriously in SF fandom for probably 70 years. Lately, however, Old School fans have had a bit of trouble with their egoboo. Younger fans aren't much interested in Old School activities... which is more or less the substance of the column, or so I'm led to believe. If this works out, I may do regular illos for Amazing Stories. Not that it pays money... Someday, the editor hopes, but not now.
