This is my new, 8 week old fluff ball of LOVE.
I adopted him today from the Colorado Puppy Rescue organization... he's actually from a shelter in New Mexico and was going to be put down... huh... he's so young, too. But now, he's mine! :D
I was going to adopt his sister (who I saw on their website) and when I got to meet her, she totally ignored me and kept trying to investigate people walking by. So I put her back and asked to see her little bro and he sat in front of me and put his head in my hands and just looked up at me.
The foster parent came back to tell us about him, and she's says he loves other animals, loves to be outside, but isn't too active and rather mellow.
I was like... in a whisper to the foster parent, "I think he's the one. I'll take him."
I almost cried! I was so happy!
He gets along with my other animals, except for the chicken (she's terrified of dogs, but he just sits and watches her) and my cats LIKE him. My main concern is he gets along very well with my supercat, Ergo, and Ergo showed interest in him! He went up and licked him!
Loki only weighs like 4 or 5 pounds... but he's going to be huge. He's a rottie and german shepherd mix (didn't I post a journal about how that would be the PERFECT doggie?! XD) . I saw him on their website, too, and I thought, "If I can't get that female, I'll get him!"
And look at that!
But if you're going to adopt a puppy, I seriously recommend you get one from them. They give you a ton of free stuff and a vet check up (free!). So go to coloradopuppy.org or go to the Petco in Denver (on 225 and Mississippi) on Saturdays around 10:30.
He's howling in his sleep! OHH MY GOSH.

He looks SO ADORABLE! I just wanna run up and pet him!
I'm really glad to hear you saved him too! We got our beagle from a household that had little kids terrorizing him. They were starting to look at alternate ways of getting rid of him, so we stepped in. That was years ago...now he's such a spoiled little part of the family. :3
