I am actually considering just getting a little netbook at Best Buy, since the Acer Aspire I had died on me after under a year of use. If it was any other brand I would go for it, but at the moment I think I'll save for a new netbook instead, since it'd just be for laying in bed and chatting and such.
Best of luck selling!

While the brand name has a bad wrap since its start up consisted of being created as a cheap alternative to the highly costly other models by being built with spare parts. It was bought out by a major brand name player and since then they only use their parts in it; but keep the Acer name so they can sell both high end and low end laptops getting both sides of the market. The catch is they use the same internal parts. [meaning the Acers are low end priced and looking but high end functioning just like the more expensive brand names.] I hope before you buy a small net book for the same price as I'm selling a full laptop you look at the spec's I post first. netbooks are now what the Acer was when it was created. I also upgraded my Acer since I got it. new battery and 4 gigs ram as opposed to the 2 gigs it came with.
In any case I hope you are happy with whatever choice you make.

Mine I bought last year, around tax season. The motherboard crapped out after under a year of use; which is why I am on my new HP desktop. The main reason I am thinking about a netbook is it is small and cheap and literally all it would be used for was Skype and such, any big things I'd just use my main desktop for. The Laptop would be portable chat machine, while my main computer is games n' everything else. If that makes sense. C:
Mine came with 4 gigs, and was upgraded to 8; I shoulda kept it and just ordered a new Motherboard instead of selling it off for parts to a computer repair shop. xD

Yes, you should have. my mother board is the original and has worked fine since I had the computer. I got my for college at first but then did business stuff on trying to open my business at the time. I finally used it for gaming and Google earth.
The ONLY reason I'm selling it is that due to a class auction lawsuit against compaq for their floppy disk drive read writers 'planed breaking' which they deny but still offered money or (much higher credit) in settlement which I used on my new laptop. I got a BRAND NEW laptop that was better as it has even new features and of course it was free because of the lawsuit.
