I'm not a die hard Fanboy of either SONY and Microsoft but I do love gaming. Seeing the vid for the PS4 on IGN but I happen to come across this and yet it saddens me a gamer that SONY would screw up on the design of the Power Supply. Didn't they fucking look at how much money people are going to be wasting on a new power supply cable each time it melts or that they have taken away the blu-ray movie play back.
The person in the video said it can play DVD and Blu-Ray's i want to see this for myself but I doubt it would play them from day one.

Yeah, I think we all know that most of the companies nowadays are just in it for the money. XOne is eliminating discs altogether, the PS4 was designed by a retarded chimp, and the Wii-U (as with the Wii before it) has versions of games that leave a ton of shit out (Force Unleashed: II, War for Cybertron, etc). The only good games for that system are the games that were designed for it specifically, like the Zelda titles. The Wii-versions of the other games are nice and all, but once you've played the originals the Wii ones pale in comparison. The Force Unleashed II, for instance, is waaaaaaayyyy better on the X-Box 360. Better graphics, better levels, harder enemies, and exclusives. Though the Wii version did finally have both the Black *and* the Silver Lightsaber crystals. That alone saved it for me.
~nods~ Nintendo came out with the DS, what does Sony do? Come out with the PSP. Nintendo comes out with the 3DS, Sony comes out with the PS Vita. Nintendo introduces the Wii with the Wireless Wii-mote, what does Sony do? Come out with that stupid 'microphone-looking' thing for the PS3.
Plus Sony has to make their consoles able to multitask, just to compete. Both Sony and Microsoft had to make their consoles with DVD/Blu-Ray capabilities, just to compete with a console used only for games. The GameCube beat the crap out of the PS2 when it first came out, in terms of in-game graphics, because Sony wasted too much processing power on the 'movie-like' FMVs in their games. If they had that kind of quality for the in-game footage, then the whole system would lag something horrible. And Nintendo only got better with their in-game graphics; not only that, but their in-game graphics matched the FMVs, so they both looked awesome. Twilight Princess, the last game made for the GameCube, is by far one of the best games- in looks and playability- that I've ever seen for those generations of consoles.

you'll be surprise by this news cause the Xbox ONE gives you everything including playing DVD's, Blu-ray's, cd's and such. External HDD's and USB will be a later date with an update to the firmware.
SONY has taken a step back with throwing out the playing of DVD's and Blu-ray movies don't know what for but I have seen the PS4 motherboard and its a piece of junk, I have also seen the Xbox ONE motherboard in up close photo's but I can't show them cause the console isn't out but i can say that the Xbox ONE was going to be a Sphere but then the dev's and the Microsoft team cracked a big fuss over it being knocked over and damaged and such.

Yeah, the XOne is a multimedia platform, but they're not having game discs anymore. You have to buy them all online, and like the Wii (and the Wii-U after it) with their online store, you're not really buying the game you're just buying the right to play it on that console. So if you change consoles (yours gets broken, or they come out with a newer model) you can't play the game. Which is total bullshit, since you should be able to play the game anywhere you go that has an XOne, rather than taking your entire damn system with you (or your external, if they come out with one).
Nintendo actually had the sphere design first, but they were going to use it for the GameCube. They decided against it (probably for the same reason you mentioned above), as well as the other designs (one of which was a pyramid).
I don't know, I just wish game systems would stay simple. Sure it's a neat concept, but too many things can go wrong if it's all on the same console. That's why I prefer desktops over laptops, if something happens to one component you can take it out and replace it.

I think you are wrong in the first part cause you can still may the game disc and that is a fact cause they are wanting to share the game or trade it in for something else for the Xbox ONE.

I kinda liked my PS2 Slim but when I got the Xbox 360 the games and were it was sitting took up the space and I try to tell my sister to take what games she wanted before I got rid of them all. I like my PS3 Slim cause it's my Blu-ray player, AVI & MP4 video format player, MP3 player and more. I just don't get around to playing the games I have for the PS3 much

I took a look at the specs, and you're right, game discs will be playable; though they'll be instantly burned to the Hard Drive, so hopefully the 500G drive it comes with will be upgradable or replaceable.

Multiplayer online gaming is obviously part of Sony's PS4 strategy. However, unlike on the PS3, multiplayer gaming is not a free service. It will be part of the PlayStation Plus service. You will essentially need to subscribe to PlayStation Plus if you want to play games online with your friends.
Certain free-to-play titles may allow online multiplayer without a subscription, but for the vast majority of titles, you will need to sign up to PS Plus. Think of it as Sony's answer to Xbox Live Gold - Microsoft has been charging for its service since time began (almost).
The difference is that you also get a host of other features with PlayStation Plus, including free game downloads as part of the Instant Game Collection feature. This has already allowed PS3 and PS Vita owners to build up a substantial games library while only having to pay for the subscription, and Sony plans to implement the same for PS4.
Exclusive content and discounts on full-price titles will be offered to members too.

the Xbox ONE will be needing a launch patch too but it's for apps and such. as for the pay to play online I think SONY might have shoot themselfs in the knee with an arrow on that one. Xbox ONE allows you to play online free if you had a gold account that went silver while on the Xbox ONE I think not sure I will need to follow that one up sooner than later.
But yes you would need a patch to unlock the system's software for the hardware to be used which is one thing that shouldn't happen. 300mb is a bit much for a console patch I'm going to say that the Xbox ONE patch would be less then 300mb
