I do think they need pupils, but right now they are looking pretty good. Perhaps some slight dark lines along the edges of the iris just to give it more depth.

nods I was keeping the pupil to a minimum, since birds dont really have any...and you had said red, whites and black edging. what I was planning to do, was blend the red and white some more, and continue to work the whites into the yellow/black at the back, most of which will not be visible when feathered. Im trying to extrapolate your theme from his name...Ill continue again after your response.
