So I have been working on my own original species! And I am really happy with this so far. It is still a work in progress but I also some traits down.

Name: Xenbori
They are a tribal type alien race from a very colorful planet rich in tropical vegetation. They are omnivores and love to swim and climb. They live in tree villages.

They grow up genderless and develop once they reach a certain point in their life and decide what they are. Probably around the age humans normally go through puberty. So the change can start as early as like 12 and as late as like 17 on average. What look like spots on their head are actually holes that produce sounds similar to the sound wales make when they "sing" These sounds are typically used for music, alarms, mating calls, etc.

They are typically pansexual. They also place no emotional value on sex and acknowledge it as recreational pleasure and reproduce when necessary. They do not have courtships. Promiscuity is not a word in their dictionary.

They are spionic. Basically they are psychic and telekinetic. They generally talk psychically. They can reshape things with their minds and the more powerful the individual, the bigger things they can mold, the more they can do, etc.

Although psychically powerful, they are a peaceful and respectful race. They will not force into your mind but ask permission 1st.

They do have an alpha. It can be male or female and they are the strongest spionic in the group. This is proven by a series of challenges. They live for a few centuries but as they grow older, their minds grow weaker.

They believe that when they die, their energy is transferred into new life and therefore choose to breed at the time of death of a member of the tribe in hopes to regain them. Think of it as controlled reincarnation.
