Too Lively For You
" ... We met a few days ago, and she acts like she knew me for several years. She was completely different from me in every way. I am more of the mellow and quiet type, always keeping to myself and speaking only when I have something on my mind. I dressed in button shirts and polyester pants. She, on the other hand, was very peppy and random; she was lively and energetic around me, always talking and asking me questions. She dressed in torn "hippy-like" clothes, dyed wild hair and fur spots. Yes...completely different from me in a way that I just dont really know how to act in response.
" She has taken an interest in me because I spoke to her and told her that she was nice. I couldn't help it. She kept having her eye on me and I had to say something to her. From there, she acted like a leech and clung to me, wanting me to be near her, to talk to her and to keep her company. She invited me over on the "somewhat" first day we met. She wanted to continue to talk to me after we met. I can tell that she was really coming on to me, more than a "friend" level. I can tell that she has some problems by just hearing her ramble and how she asks questions. But in many ways, she is very unique. You dont see many girls like her on the street as well as "available".
" There are times in which I dont really understand. I guess I compare one thing to many too much. Like, in America, its usually the men who flirt first, not the other way around. Its much like in Japan where its usually the girls coming onto the men. Its the "culture" thing. I guess I am just used to coming onto a girl rather than vise-versa. I guess I just feel uncomfortable having the tables turned on my end. Now that someone is flirting with me without me making a move, it is somewhat kind of a new feeling, but it came to me too quickly. I am torn between leaving her or continue to be with her and let this "relationship" take it's coarse.. "
This picture was based off a scene from "Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind", and something I can also relate too as well.

As soon as I saw the girl and started reading the description, I thought "Sounds like Clementine". A lovely piece, as always, my friend ^_^ I agree with the guy feeling weird being flirted with. I'm usually the one flirting lightly and I"m not used to anyone reciprocating.
The artwork is great. Every thing you draw just seems to have that special magic about it. The Girl is a free spirit, much like in the 60s. She sees someone she craves and throws herself completely into establishing a relationship. A lot of guys can’t handle this and shun this type of personality thus making it just that much harder on her. Once the object of her affection responds to her she will try to hold on with all her being. Some times this works out, more often it ends with the guy running away leaving her even more desperate than before. I only hope some day she’ll meet that one person and she will find contentment.
Hah, that's rad, coming home from a weekend at a green youth congress and now I see a picture with a girl that looks a lot like many of the girls running around there in a scene that reminds me of my way home in the train with two of those girls babbling all the time. Well, even though, unlike the guy in the pic, I don't really mind getting my ears chewed and don't have a problem with having a passive role in a flirt either. Also I don't wear buttoned shirts.
Good job on the expressive positions of his ears, shows your affinity for canines I guess. With that and the mimics and gestures it's possible to get a pretty good idea of what's going in the picture even prior to reading the text.
If this is something you can relate to yourself I wonder if you're more the type of that active girl or the insecure guy. ;)
Also you misspelled "course" again. ^^

I've noticed something in your texturing styles on this piece, and how it's different for each texture. Like the walls, the clothing, the fur, and right down to the couch fabric. The detail is really awesome, something I haven't seen anyone else try to match.
Extremely well done, my friend. Probably one of your best.
