You spend a few moments considering the pair. There’s no doubt that attacking both would result on 2-vs-1. This feeling in your gut tells you that the Charmander will undoubtedly assist the Meowth should you attack him, but all signs from the Meowth point to him throwing the Charmander under the proverbial bus should you attack the lizard.
Clearing your throat, you smile as best as you can through your oversized jaws. “Well, if there’s only room for two, that means I should make room, right?” Before the pair can react, you dash at Nate and ram the fire type with your head. He gives a squeak and rolls head over heels.
“Hey, that wasn’t fair!” Despite all assumptions, the feline apparently has a noble streak to him buried underneath all the butt love. With your back turned and your focus on Nate, Josh takes the opportunity to claw you in the back with a set of furious swipes. It looks like you’re in for a rather lopsided brawl.
With the Charmander’s flames less effective against your dusty hide, you decide to prioritize the cat and turn to face him, digging your tiny Trapinch-y feet into the ground.
Exchanging several blows with the feline in a dangerous dance, it suddenly dawns on you that Nate hasn’t attacked you at all. A quick glance back reveals the Charmander running down the road he was travelling on to escape. You guess that he has a much kinder heart than you anticipated, electing to avoid a fight all together.
“You’re nothing but a little troublemaker,” Josh says with a smirk. “Oh well, I love proving my strength and you’ll make a nice addition to my butt when I’m through with you!” He turns and shakes his rump at you.
As you continue scraping with the Meowth, you go over the possibilities in your mind. You could easily stay here and battle Josh, although who knows where the Charmander is headed. He may return with the friend the duo mentioned. Although if you chased him down, it would be a lot easier to eat him and then set some sort of ambush for the cat. Or maybe these two are a lot more trouble than you thought…
