My Halloween 2013 image.. it's kinda unfinished and lacking in some regards. I just can't bring myself to work on it anymore, because it's been over a week since Halloween. I was going to add spider webs, another fruit bat, more candles, and better/more shading/highlight detail but yeah. I tried a thin lineart technique and don't think I will be using it again. It made it really hard to fill in colors and made it too time-consuming, which killed my motivation to work on it since I surpassed like.. 6 or 7 hours on it. I'm not sure, maybe I am even underestimating the time it took. But at that point in time I start to lose interest in any piece.
Anyway they're bat-eared foxes and a spectacled fruit bat cause they're cuties and both have "bat" and "fox" in their name (fruit bats also being known as flying foxes) hurrrr I'm so clever. :P
Critiques are totally welcome and encouraged - anything that would help me with my painting techniques or anything because I really wish I was better at painting/backgrounds.

That is so cute. Damn it all, I miss Halloween already. October is the best month out of the year.
Critique? Not really. Perhaps a bit more action in the sky would be nice, but that's reeaaly nitpicking ;)

Me too (about missing Halloween) D: It always comes and goes so fast! Didn't even get the time to carve pumpkins this year :( I haven't seen that tutorial, but I will certainly refer to it the next time I do a night sky! I've always wanted to incorporate things like a milky way but wasn't sure how to go about it. Thanks! :]
