That's my own voice. X3 I don't have any formal voice training, and I wish I did. At least I'm mostly on key, but I wish I had stronger lungs. Maybe it's because I'm a sea level creature who lives in the polluted mountain valleys. X3 My native haolë accent also comes through when I sing.
Anyway, I'd heard karaoke rerecordings of this song before (such as by Pili An Ling), but they were always females. I suppose I always thought of this song as inherently gender-neutral (though inherently emo—I have no problem with that though X3).

Audacity has a noise removal tool. :3 As long as the noise is regular enough (whitenoise), you can select a "silent" portion of it as a base, and then apply a noise removal filter to any or all of the audio clip.
