Oh she's dangerous, all right. Once a man sticks it in her, it doesn't come out until he's dried up or dead. Usually both.

Well, in her defense, dudes who don't get dried out usually try to uproot her so they can keep her for themselves. Since that would be deadly to her, she's not got much choice.

Well, she could just not release the man-entrancing scent. She's intelligent enough to realize that they go kind of crazy whenever she uses it, and she could get enough fluids to live on without it. She actually ends up withering quite a bit because the nearby village learns to just keep the menfolk indoors whenever the wind is blowing the right way.
