Every now and then I get the urge to do a two page spread in the comic. This was the latest one, pages 10-11 of 'Code Name: Hunter' Issue 17 - Roderick entering the Goblin Market for the first time.
While this was fun to do it also wasn't one of my brightest ideas. Around twelve hours a day for two days which left my wrist, hand, and shoulder painful all weekend. I'm still sore and stiff. Never again. 'Course, knowing me I'll do something similar next issue. It never fails.

Thank you! I looked at a number of different images of marketplaces from various time periods and places for background ideas, as well as a number of photos of dancers for the girl with the drum. I'm still learning anatomy and need help figuring out where arms go at times.
Ouch! Poor Darc! Are you sure we're worth all that??
I really like the coloring of the dancer's head-scarf and sleeves. (Careful there, Roderick; don't get tooo interested!) If it wasn't for the ears I'd say that's a really pretty gray, fox-girl in the center background! Arm position and clothes say she may be slave to the woman walking next to her though. (Hmm... Wonder if I can rescue her... )

I really need to catch up on CNH. ><
This is an awesome scene, and the fact we get to see more of the Fey-side of the setting is something I am looking forward too, and it's great to see Roderick as well, heh. The details here are really awesome and the colors look fantastic.
