So happy with how this turned out, I see a few things I need to fix, but over all was glad to do a good proper sketch of Ghent. He's topless for this sketch 'cause his heavy coat would be a hindrance to him, plus he deserves a little show-off sketch too due to the rather risque Condoran Commando sketches I've done.

The 'gas mask' there is his respirator mask, he suffers from a genetic disease from childhood that's like TB. He should've been dead by the age of 12. He's 33 now, and he really only needs to wear it during strenuous activity. Like whirling about with the twin Shashka short sabers in a melee.

Ghent has a tremendous sense of determination, born from the spite he had for his own 'death' when he was a child and even more so since he founded the Phoenix Ascendant movement among the Battlebirds. He will see Secunda Babylonia (Second Babylon) created, giving all avians a homeland of their own.

Those that might be a threat to this goal, he will deal with in a more subtle manner (even resorting to diplomacy when needed) to prevent any unnecessary 'waist' of resources. If, however, a more direct approach is needed then he will not hesitate in the slightest to unleash an unimaginable scale of destruction upon the enemy. Ghent will not see his people denied again.
