he was a lil four point, I did not know he was a buck till I seen him fall. His ears hid his antlers.
I think they are awesome looking.

way better to let bugs eat everything the bones will stay a lot whiter and won't do that weird translucent thing thing......

it stays whiter because it does not have time to rot and turn the bone dark,its more of a pain to boil it than to let the right kind of bugs eat on it because you still have to pick lots of meat and brain out lol. but this is better for me to do because I live in an apartment and can't have the awesome bugs >.<

I've had two bucks out for two years now. Bugs aren't interested in them. I'll have to clean them myself when ever I can find the time.
Do you cook it in your house? My mother won't let me do it and I agree, cooking animal heads can smell horrendous. Sadly not everything smells like chicken ^^

I had it on low heat for about two or three hours because my last one I cooked to hot and it broke all apart :(
and yes I cooked him in my house, I did not think it had a bad smell both times I tried.

that's funny, so the flesh eating beetles will not touch a buck?

oh and on top of cooking some of the meat off I am letting what is still stuck rot off in water, all his meat and such is just about off.
