Remember that big project I've been mentioning in my past several journals? This is it!!!
BAM. Giant, epic, full-detailed-double-background-shiny-sci-fi soft-cell shaded comish for
StormKern in his lab on the left, 
Mallikeet in his lab on the right, and the coolest desert dragon with the best chin and scales and guns around, me in the portal in the middle!
Muzafr is clearly weirded-out as she steps from Storm's high-tech lab and into the lightning-filled portal...guided by Malli into his own lab, resembling more of a bunker or storm shelter. She's perturbed, not used to this kind of technology, being more accustomed to bolt-action rifles. (Of the Nikki variety.)
This is definitely one of the most involved pieces I've ever had the pleasure of doing - second only to my own ref sheet, lol! This piece has been in the works for several months - mostly just working out the details in text, then me finally getting a chunk of time to work on it! Exchanged quite a few wips between Storm and Malli to nail all the details and atmosphere they wanted for their respective labs.
But again, wow, just wow, this piece. I've blown myself away. XD Not only one background, but two? BAM. In your face.
Perspective was fun to work on - I didn't make it as 'extreme' as I was planning just due to the amount of space allotted for each lab, and also to avoid them getting cluttered. Was a good exercise and makes me want to work on it more.
Light source, eh, is pretty relaxed, what can I say. I was moreso focused on the overall atmosphere and ambient lighting rather than a single light source for either side. (Multiple light sources? Sorcery!)
In other news, I'm really, really, really happy with how all the anatomy turned out on all three chars. I don't know, they strike me as particularly nice in this piece. *shrugs*

Ok this is very creative. Nice scene, nice setup, and a very interesting contrast... You guys but a lot of good work into this. Gives me a Dr. Who sort of vibe.
Getting a pic of Muzafr and I would be pretty fun now that I look at this. Though I should slow down on that thought :P

They're transformation suits - like someone puts on the 'suit' and they're turned into whatever critter the suit is supposed to be, like it conforms to their body and they take on the features like wings, tail, etc. At least that's how I understand it. X)

Clause 5 subsection 3.5 of the waiver of entry should have the information on our policy on guns suddenly turning sentient during the duration of ones stay in the lab... I think... ehh I'm too lazy to check, I'm just gonna assume Storm added it in the other day <.=.<

If you have trouble getting your head around these labs you might have trouble with Draco's....mostly since its a Huge facility, belonging to the company Draco (my character, BTW) owns called D.I.I., Draconis Industries International...The companies main facility covers over 7 square miles surrounding the main building, a nearly 2 mile high skyscraper called Draconis Tower. The facility is outside the city center of New York, in New York state.
The company makes everything from cars, air-conditioning units, commercial cleaners, and clothing, to Tanks, advanced Military hardware, weapons of every kind (including high tech designs like rail-guns, plasma weapons and particle weapons), and various chemical compounds.
all of this on top of the companies private army that is takes the role of mercenaries, albeit mercenaries who only work for good causes or trusted nations (the U.S., England, and Israel included)

Hehe, that sounds really awesome! It's mainly the settings and all the equipment that was the challenge, since I don't do full scenes like this too often. I'm actually no stranger to drawing technology, (I draw firearms all the time,) and especially robotics and big, kind of industrial-revolution-esque machinery since a story of mine is based around them. ^^ I've been practicing drawing a lot of aircraft lately, too, since I want to start featuring them in some of my personal artwork.
