While I like Eone I think she isnt thinking this straigh and is really biased is her supposed "mantention of their autonomy". I agree with Sable (this person comment on the page, not here) on this one.

Looking mediocre wont help them at all, much less in this situation that is very important for Queen Obscura, Which we have to recall that Queen is not on the best terms with earth dragons, much less with Eone, so any excuse Oscura could use will be brought upon the earth dragons will be put into the table with respect to their right and privileges.

But what worry me most is that Eone is not taking in consideration that this is also a dangerous mission. They will fight tiger, lives of her own fellas are in danger, thats not a situation in where you can simple be mediocre to not do it again, because chances are that maybe one of them can lost their life. What if one of the eath dragons die? They choose to act in the bare minimum, and they know it, Red will notice it too. It not a situation they could simple blame the fire dragons on their own as they have taken that curse of actions of not taking initiative. Or what if one of the fire dragons is killed or injuried? Fire dragons seem to have more privileges than earths, and Red may stop playing in favor to Eone for that one. She is really not actually considerating her actual situation in this very moment, and the future cost of it if she follow what she have planed for Red.

May best guess is that if they found the tigers, this "bare minimum" will explode on Eone`s face. Be it by on of them end wounded, failing to catch the tiger (were I belive may start the leged of earth power dragons, as tiger seem to not know this kind) or Red finally losing her patient (she seem to really hate incompetence) were Obscura may finally take her oportunity to take back earth dragons rights.

I think when the moment come, one of them will not follow Eone`s instructions. Probably Saph, or probably even Eone herself as she seem that she ended into a big mess all for her own action of no initiative.

Your observations are all excellent, as there are still a number of ways this can play out, many of which are negative. Well, this is definitely a beautifully visual update. ^_^ Excellent job here! I will say that I don't agree with Eone on this, though. Even if she doesn't like being on this mission, she's the one that demanded the equality of the Earth Dragons with the rest of the dragon types. And being recruited for missions is one of the responsibilities that comes with being on equal terms with the other dragons, it seems to me. Plus, as it was said, NOT a good way to prove to Queen Obscura that your breed is very helpful by NOT giving it your all. =P Anyways, great update, beautifully done, and eager to see how this plays out.

Thanks for the kind words on the visuals! I'm quite pleased with how they came out, as I (successfully) experimented with some lighting tricks. As for what this might do to the Earth Dragons' standing, it looks like Eone might be taking a stand for her own principles against the needs of the throne. We'll see which one, if any, wins out. ^__^

A question also occurs to me. We've been seeing Earth Dragons shedding now, but I don't think I've seen the others. Do dragon shed based on what type they are and what time of the year it is?

I haven't decided whether there's a dedicated molting season, but Eone and her crew were affected by the volcano deterrence they were recently pulled into. The intense heat has triggered skin cracking and premature molting. Don't forget that Lady Red's in the same boat right now, thanks to Briella and her "sun gun." ^__^

Eone's little stunt is likley going to get them all killed or have them court marshaled instead of just let go. Lets see how great this idea of hers turns out then the three of em are put in front of a fire squad.
