Philosophy Pt. 2 - Experiences

This section of Philosophy goes over something that I've thought about slightly is about experiences in life. I've been wanting to do more with my life as far as stuff I haven't done before. This comes from random conversations about people planning stuff and talking about what they want to do in the future. I don't really have too many of those 'future' things I've wanted to do, but I'd love to start :)

archeus68"The elusive blue cougar wanders through the plains, casually moving around in its leisure. It takes a look around before scratching himself as his ears perk up, hearing a noise moving close to him. He catches in his eyes, a mouse moving closer to him. He lowers down on the grass as the mouse looks around and..."
"What're you doing?"
I turned around and noticed my blue tiger friend Archeus standing behind me, dressed professionally in her suit as she looked down at me as I smiled looking up at her, waving her down.
"Shhhh!!! Get down!!! Hide!" I yelled quietly.
She gave me a questionable look before crouching down and looking at me. "Just what do you think you're doing?"
"Lex took my tuna sandwich yesterday, so I'm getting my revenge. That's why I wanted you to come and watch!" I moved the mouse closer and closer to Lex as he looked ready to pounce at it any moment.
"Wait, that's the remote controlled mouse I made for you right? That has the special chase exercise program you can preprogram into it, and the feature about moving faster as you get closer to it and all the other add-ons?"
I let out a grin and nodded, "Yep, that's the one!"
Archeus moved closer and smacked my head hard, "Why are you doing that to Lex? He was probably just hungry when you had your sandwich."
I let out a snarl as I moved my focus back to Lex as he started to pounce at the mouse. The mouse started to move around the field as the blue cougar kept on trying to catch it.
"Well, I was hungry too, and I just want my little revenge."
Another smack came across the back of my head as she reached for the controller, "Gimme it back!"
I held out the controller as she reached for it, "Let me have some fun, I have some tuna and water for him in my backpack when he gets too tired. I'm not mean, just want some revenge."
I could tell her discomfort about the idea. She took a look at my open backpack to see that I wasn't lying. She let go of me as I watched Lex trying to strategize his move with the mouse.
"You know, I thought when you invited me to come here, you had some important business that you needed to talk about. I rescheduled my plane to Germany!"
My eyes opened as I heard her say that, "Germany? This totally isn't that important! You should've called me first before coming!"
She opened her phone messages and showed me the all caps message I sent with the GPS directions, "How would you react to that? Hm?"
"Well, with a phone call, but I guess that doesn't matter now," I let out a slight frown. I hated messing up anyone's plans.
"Well, I have thirty minutes to kill, so I'll keep you company for a bit."
We watched Lex hiding behind bushes and making dashes at the mouse. It was amazing what Archeus had done with the robot that made it so fast, and I giggled slightly seeing Lex getting irritated at the mouse.
"If you don't mind me asking, what're you doing in Germany?" I turned to ask her.
"Oh, just meeting with some clients about doing some machine work. Possible work into making a robot body to make someone a hundred times stronger so that you wouldn't need big forklifts taking up space in warehouses."
"So, just another boring day at the lab then, eh?"
She nodded and laughed, "Yeah, well, it's still fun to go off and visit all the places around the world. See the different cultures and try the different foods."
I let out a sigh as I started to lose focus on Lex and contemplated about it, "Yeah, I've always wanted to get out of this place and really... you know, explore the world, even if it's one place and for one week."
She let out a slight grin, "Minion work is hard stuff, plus we don't have a good health package."
I shook her off and smiled, "No no, I don't mean joining your ranks of doing lab work, but just, you know, exploring. My great grandmother started at sixty years old and travelled all over the world, bringing back souvenirs and seeing all the different ways of life. She was a very experienced lady."
She busted laughing, "I wouldn't use the word experienced, that makes her sound like she's something other than being classy."
I shrugged, "Well, I mean just having done stuff with her life, going out and seeing the world. I've never really done that myself. I just keep to thinking that small experiences are good enough..."
All of the sudden the mouse ran by as Lex pounced out of the bushes to chase after it, giving both of us a fright as he had lost focus of him. We both busted out laughing as we watched Lex running away, intent on catching the mouse.
I gave a half smirk as I continued my rant, "I mean, life is all about experiences. Most people never get to have any real, big experiences, and some people don't even strive for the small ones. They just live day to day, never really taking life in."
She looked at me and slightly rubbed my head, "Well, you keep talking about that stupid gaming podcast like it's the world, and how you beat this tough game and how awesome that was."
"I have to earn those friggin' experiences!"
"And you think my lab earned itself? I worked hard to built up my lab and make creations that make the world a better place! That's how I get to afford some of the fun luxuries in life!"
I wanted to argue with her about it, but you can't really win an fight about wanting to do stuff if you're not willing to sacrifice time and money to do it. "Yeah, I guess I have a different agenda than others, but still, it'd be fun to magically have the funds to travel."
"Well, minion work does get you to travel..."
I laughed and shook my head, "No no no. I'm fine keeping my dinky job and think about trying to find that big experience I want to strive for."
"So you don't want to try German food from an authentic German restaurant in Germany? Take in the culture?"
I thought about it and nodded, "I wouldn't mind, but I'd have to make sure it's where I wanted to travel. There are quite a few interesting places out there."
"Might be less of them if some of my equipment breaks down."
I shot her a glare, "Every time you say that makes me very uneasy that I live in the same town as you."
"Heh, well, as usual, just food for thought." She moved down and hit the recall button on the remote, "I think Lex is tired by now and I want to make sure he'll still be alive."
"Yeah." After a couple of moments the mouse returned back to us. We waited for Lex to appear. After a few seconds, Lex crawled in and saw us, slumping down on the ground.
"Poor Lex," Archeus moved close to him and rubbed his head as he smiled back. "You'd best take care of him. I've got to head out!" She walked by and gave me another smack on the head as a reminder before leaving.
"Yes yes! Geez!" I opened a bottle of water and poured it in a bowl for Lex, placing it in front of him, scratching his headfur. "You have any big plans for the future Lex?"
Lex lapped up the water, looked up, and smiled at me, licking my paw.
"Heh, you got the simple life."
