Well, I'm a bit disappointed. For the first time, an admin has done something I disagree with. Namely, removing my Fifi .gif. It's not the removal that irks me, it's that it was yanked without notice. If the admin had said to me, 'This is against policy, take it down.' I would have immediately said, 'Okay.' I do know the TOS, but considering I put a lot of work into the .gif and it wasn't just a single screen capture, I thought that might have made a difference. I was wrong, fine, okay. But I'd appreciate being given the chance to take it down myself so I can save the comments to a .txt file first or let the people who commented on it know what was going to happen.
But that's all in the past. Que sera sera. Here I've drawn a tiny Fifi in about thirty seconds, and here is a Rapidshare link to my animated .gif, a smaller avatar-sized version, an .mp3 of Fifi's actual quote, plus the original screencaps I used (If anyone cares).

Not Dave Hyena. I don't think I've ever even talked to the guy. And no, I won't say which admin it was. Only that I brought a problem to them, and this is how they responded. I don't want to believe this was done on purpose, but it looks that way and it hurts that I just lost a little bit of trust in this site, y'know?

I was more or less kidding, because he has a reputation. But I guess this counts as evidence to the contrary, so I'll blame a random FA admin instead. Sucks, though, regardless. Did you mention it to them that they should notify people to take stuff down themselves before the admins do it?
I told him as politiely as I could, yet still conveying that I thought he'd been rude as heck, that I would have taken it down in a flash if he'd just asked, and that I'd like to notified in advance if there's any problems in the future. Of course, this is going to end up getting me banned... *sweatdrop*
Well, I told another admin about the problem, and about what the first admin did, and I'm waiting for their response too. I'll give them a few more days, but it looks like I may just have to go down the list, bugging all the admins until I can find one who actually believes in enforcing the site's rules fairly. I cannot tell you how disappointed and actually a little bit heartbroken I am to have to say that.
