Mendels is typical for San Francisco - overpriced because of the insane taxes. They're good for last minute and they have good quality. imstuffedfur.com is a better source, with better quality. I have all their samples from the natural color tones. I have most of the natural tones from mendels, too. Of course you could just walk over there to check them yourself, since it's so close.

I suppose it also depends on how willing you are to dye the fur. Neither source has the perfect lavender or light lilac. There's some dying involved either way.
