Thought Processes I Don't Understand Volume One
You can switch 'dating advice' with 'medical advice' or 'pet care advice' or one of several other topics. I was thinking of 4chan but I guess if you take out 'image board' you could insert reddit or several other places there.

For me it feels like it it's filled with self absorb interest with a closed mind and little respect for difference in others.
It almost feels caustic and corrosive to the general standard of a civil mind and has little considerations to others. Let's face it, the person didn't post it for any reason other then his own point of view and pretty much dismissed others way of life and accepting that life is very different from a one size fits all pair of shorts.
One could only imagine what other topics this person took up. Though I don't know if I want to try.

Now, that question would entirely depend upon the nature of what advice you're seeking, now wouldn't it?
I don't know you from Adam, but I'd have to bring your internet-searching abilities into question, for you to say that AAAALL other places to get advice are complete barren wastelands, compared to imageboards. There's DOZENS of localized communities, on all SORTS of subjects. Yes, some might be more or less active than others, but the best part about the internet is that there's literally millions upon BILLIONS of sites on it. If you don't find what you looking for on one place, there's plenty of other places to look that ARE better-suited to your needs. Faster/easier doesn't always equal better.
Maybe I'm in the minority, here ... but I'd rather spend a day or two (possibly even a week or two, depending on how good/bad my luck is) in pursuit of some reputable answers ... than loiter about on a site full of b-tards, trolls, and manchildren for a few hours, and hope to find a few sparse gems of wisdom wedged between the lumps of crap.

People that frequent a site where a 400 post thread will vanish forever in less than 6 hours don't have the patience to wait a week for replies, plus by the time you get a proper reply the problem may no longer be relevant

My fiance browses 4chan regularly, and his computer is right beside mine. I see and am told about all the "lovely" things that go on there and the sort of people frequenting places like these. That's about all I need to know to confirm that that is FAR from a place to go, when one needs sound advice on an important subject.
And I'm pretty sure the idea is NOT instant gratification, as far as the entire context of this submission. The idea is the very OPPOSITE of that, hence why this image is making FUN of the impatient short-sighted approach. That's the whole punchline. =/
