This is a commission I got of my boy, Kane. He's, technically, not a wolf... he's a bargest, a demonic ghost dog with too-long claws and fangs. They usually surround themselves with fog (Kane never stops producing it; the smoke roll off of him as if he were on fire) to hide and taunt the mess out of innocent travelers.

But Kane is a little different from all his dark brothers and sisters. Though he was born a demon, and he's not afraid to prove to you just how demonic he can be, he was also born was one thing a hellion is never supposed to have. Ever.

A guardian angel.

He didn't know if the heavens were playing a trick on him or what, but when he met her, his entire world shifted. The blood in his veins pumped in the wrong direction. She had power over him that no one else had; all she needed to do is ask and he would drop everything, risk everything for her. As if he was her guardian instead of the other way around.

Whether she knew it or not, the angel owned his heart and soul. The beast loved his beauty deeply, even long after her demise.

Somehow he had known all along that he would be her downfall. It wasn't a joke the god where playing on him... it had been a very cruel one played on her. Because of Kane, she was killed.

Her soul was extinguished and he was left with a pretty hefty curse that continues to plague him decades later.
