Slipstream was walking down the halls of the Bureau of Superheroes Headquarters, whistling to himself and attempting to decide what treat he was going to get himself from the snack bar, when a heavy thudding of combat boots echoed in the hallway. Hearing that they seemed to be approaching him, at a rather quick pace for that matter, Slipstream quickly scanned the air behind him and from the wind formed the figure of Ranger in his mind. A rather annoyed scowl was across her muzzle as well, so he refrained from any of his usual antics and instead waited to turn around only until after she tapped him on the shoulder.
"Ranger," he smiled, "what can I do for you?"
"You're a fan of jokes right? I've got an amusing story I'd like you to hear." Ranger continued before Slipstream could interject, "So I was out near the park on my lunch break, when suddenly I hear a loud giggling before I'm kicked from behind. Almost dropping my food I spin around to find out who would be so bold, and it just so happened to be a little middle school kid. I asked him why he would do that to a stranger, and he pointed to this."
Emphasizing her point, Ranger held up a piece of paper with some tape and big black letters that spelled out 'Kick Me' printed in the middle. Doing his best to suppress his laughter, Slipstream composed himself before saying, "How curious. Is it in Braille, or might I trouble you to tell me what's on the page?"
The corner of her eye twitching in irritation, Ranger kept her composure as well, "Oh I'm pretty sure you know what's on here. I'm also certain you're the only one that would pull something like this. However, I simply wanted to return this to you," she said before shoving it into his chest. Grabbing the page, it dawned on Slipstream why she had bothered to return the page to him when she spun him around and gave him a swift kick in the rear. Much to Ranger's shock, Slipstream flew up into the air, much further than the force she had intended, and then couldn't help but grin as he somersaulted through the air comically before landing upside down against the wall on the other side of the hallway.
Flashing a toothy grin at her, he gave her a thumbs up, from his view anyway. "Not sure how this looks from your angle, but from mine it's totally a good thing. Well played."
Sighing, Ranger just folded her arms across her chest. "You're annoying, but you're not all that bad either. Try and stay out of trouble, at least for a little while okay?"
Watching her walk off, Slipstream lifted up into the air and righted himself. Brushing the dust off his pants, he continued on the way to the snack bar, "For some reason I'm craving Air Heads now."
