This chapter was simply heart warming to read.
I got to eat turkey with my favorite werewolves, run with the wolf pack and even hear bedtime stories about vampires. *hugs* I absolutely loved it how adorable you made this vacation out to be.
I hope you enjoy thanksgiving like these werewolves did

Okay, time for my first comment!
This was, more than the other five chapters, very heartwarming. Those poor guys desperately needed a break, and what's better than some good family time? Even though, now I'm kind of curious to know how the other packmates' families are, even if they are humans and not wolves (especially 'cause Fletch mentioned he had a brother and a sister).
As for Artyom's family itself, I love their dynamics. When he was introduced, I thought I'd have never appreciated Alexi because he looked like a stiff know-it-all, but... I dunno, at the end of the chapter I somewhat changed my mind; especially with what Anitoli said, that the fate of their family line rests on Alexi's shoulders. It's like Alexi is trying with all his might to live up to his exceptional parents, but it's trying to do that while also searching for his personal route.
(oh, and by the way, Marina is totally approved. A red-headed she-wolf, arf!:Q__)
I really, really hope that the Yashins will reappear some time in the future, because they're too interesting as characters to just appear in a single chapter! Truth be told, when Abel appeared and he and Yuri started talking about the Varos, I was hoping for some new information about the lore (especially because, I mean... freaking vampires!); but it makes sense for this chapter to be just relax and family time... Even if I can't help wondering what is going to happen when the pack returns to the campus. Because this could've totally been the calm before the storm.

Such good feedback, I love it! Thank you!!!
I do like me some heartwarming, and there had been a few comments about everything happening so fast. I wanted to take a chance to slow it down, to let everything sink in. Werewolves in Hawaii would be interesting assuming they could raise the money, werewolves in New York could be interesting too, though both situations come with a bit of an awkward "Hey parents, these are my three boyfriends... and we're not like we used to be" conversations, lol.
I think I had the same relationship as you with Alexi. He popped into my head and I was all "oh, the annoying older brother." but at the same time they are family and they each have their own roles to fill. LOL, glad you liked Marina.
I'm sure the Yashins will appear in some capacity again in the future. The big question is what capacity.
Ah the Varos... I write very improvisationally and as the words were slipping out of my fingers, I didn't know if I was moving things along too fast. We're barely learning about the direwolves, we've only heard briefly about the hunters, and now I throw vampires into the mix, lol.
Now I have to decide what the next storm will be.

Lol, and now I'm picturing surfing werewolves.XD Even if, well, the juxtaposition between lycanthropes and a metropolis like New York would be really interesting, narratively speaking! As for the awkwardness of admitting they are now a pack, well... It could probably led to very funny scenes! Or, well, very dramatic.
You know what I'd love to see? How the pack works when they are apart from some reason, how they cope with each others distance... Maybe during Christmas time, with everyone at their own families' homes, longing for the company of each other and seeing how each of them would react when they are far away from their packmates... I think it could led to tons of good old character development. Not that I'm telling you to do that, I'm just tossing some random ideas.
Yeah, the Varos kinda came out of nowhere, but, I mean... They fit the lore quite neatly, right? Even if I hope they won't be simply antagonistic towards the wolves, that would be too cliché.
As for the next storm... Maybe something character-related? Developing some of the other characters at the campus, especially the wolves from Seamus' pack (like the twins, for example... Really, I smell TONS of dramatic scenes, with Liam clearly being attracted to Fletch while Kieran being apparently faithful towards his pack) so that an internal conflict will happen. A werewolf civil war, if you want!

I fear the dramatic, lol. The not understanding.
Hmmmm, that's a good idea actually, and that makes a lot more sense. Fletcher's gonna be so lonely in New York!!!! Oh, drama and wonderment. Such a great idea.
Well I tried to build this story on a spectrum rather than polarized. You've got good wolves and bad, I'm sure there are good and bad Varos as well.
Hmmm, but would the civil war happen between Thanksgiving and Christmas?

Um... I guess that would be too soon to solve the Seamus storyline once and for all, right? I mean, before Christmas. Although... There will certainly be another full moon and another trip to the canyon right ahead. In that occasion, Marco's pack would be particularly vulnerable (unless, of course, they simply decide to go somewhere else to spend the full moon with just Fletch and Ethan as keepers... effectively declaring their independence from everyone in the campus), and that could be a great chance to see who will decide to side with him and who'll decide to stick with Seamus.
While its true that most furs like to read about yiff, this story has already given plenty of that. It's a nice change of pace. And besides, by now you already have readers hooked with the previous chapters so of course they will read this one. I rather enjoyed seeing everyone happy and welcomed. For them to know that there is a life passed all they have already experienced. That there is something better out there, something worth fighting for.
Just a really really really hearthwarming chapter.
The family is well presented and though of, you can quickly tell their differents personalities by their interactions and it's impossible not to love them.
Awesome feel good chapter for the readers AND the characters.
Really great work.
