I've never encountered the series – Ruathan did all all the descriptive work for me to work from! So I don't know anything about them beyond what people are mentioninging the comments and the description I got.

Well if you're interested in learning more about the backstory on the race you can always peruse the lore sections on the Kerberos Production forums. The Liir are a pretty interesting race, they're hermaphrodite, psionic, telekinetic, the average Liir is completely pacifistic since they can sense the pain of those they hurt, but the Liir have a military made up of "black swimmers" that are essentially a death-cult. Liir that join up with the military must undergo a ritual drowning to be inducted.

And don't get me started when a Liir has mental health issues...it can get interesting...in the ancient Chinese sense of the word. ;)

Cool, but I have this enormous pile of other stuff to get through, much of which I actually paid for, not just "free" stuff like podcasts and other non-profit entertainment.

I figured if it was floating it wouldn't have to be super streamlined so I added in some more contours and what seemed like logical muscle groups that are familiar to human expectation. Maybe that's it?
