although, just for future reference, because i plan on commissioning you again if i get the chance, every part of him but the blue fur is actually amphibious/reptilian in nature. not fur. (i should probably write that clearer on the ref, purple text probably wasn't the best choice. everyone makes that mistake as you can see in my icon lol)

It reminded me of how they think dinosaurs had a fine coating of feathers.
I guess depending on his enviroment and if it gets cold from a "winter" like how DC's world can be, he could grow a fine poof ;p
DC's coat just gets thicker/longer
