I commissioned the great 
Berbalang for this one, and it was my pleasure to be able to do so! Thanks, Sir Berbs! Berby was one of the very first artists I found after discovering the fandom, and I still have one of his pieces saved from 1998 ("Impatience," for you historians!). It was the 19th furry picture I ever saved. Needless to say, finally getting to work with him has been a great privilege. When he comes along later and humbles it up in the comments, don't any of you believe him about not being downright awesome. ^_~
"Sometimes you just need to get away from it all" is an aphorism which isn't lost on everyone's favorite chubby gator. FGS has taken a trip to one of those all-inclusive resort vacation spots somewhere in the Caribbean, and she's been having quite the time so far. Days of sun and sand, and nights of rum-fueled relaxation really let the stress all slip away.
The resort guide suggested that everyone should bathe under a small waterfall at least once before they could say they truly had a vacation, so FGS decided to get up early one morning and try it out before it got too busy at the cove noted to be the best for such activities. Scrubbing away with the most relaxing, floral body wash she could find, our heroine is startled by the sudden surfacing of an unexpected arrival! He looks rather like a dragon, his thick white fur shaved in patterns to reveal the black skin underneath.
Berbalang hadn't intended to scare the lovely lady! Up for a morning stroll himself, he came across the kind of scene usually reserved for beauty product commercials. A gorgeously curvy gal bathing under a waterfall in a tropical cove, the morning sunlight broken up into a glittering rainbow in the mist? Any more perfect a moment and she'd be moving in slow motion! How could he not go say hello? Nearly getting clubbed with a brush on reflex hasn't dampened his spirits, though, and it looks like introductions are in order!
FGS feels terribly silly about jumping, but the newcomer looks even sillier with that lily pad on his head. She's moments from cracking a smile and, hopefully, putting that brush down. ^_~
What adventures shall these two get up to? I hope very much to be able to share the answers with you all soon!

Sir Berbs!
My little storytelling universe has always been rather loosely defined, since I focus mostly on characters and personalities, though there are references to our world (Jenny being from New Jakarta, for example). This taking place somewhere in the Caribbean or its equivalent works for my purposes. Alternate dimension? Our world, post rise of anthros a la Shadowrun? An orbital off somewhere run by eccentric genetic engineers? No idea, but it's all good to me. ^_~
I'll totally be looking forward to working on the rest of these with you. There's such fun to be had!

Well now, I would say FGS looks right at home in this piece :) Some Caribbean islands do in fact have a population of alligators, I believe. And do you know? As a small island dragon myself, I can say the only reason FGS isn't vacationing on this island of mine, is because there aren't any waterfalls here! XD
Berb really was lucky to get a look at FGS under juuust such conditions. Better be careful though, you and I both know that under all that gator chub is one mischievous hyena ^_~

Ahh, but are all of those Caribbean gators anywhere near as adorable as FGS is? Perhaps you should set about building an artificial waterfall, in order to lure her down to your neck of the woods. ^_~
I wouldn't worry too much about Mr. Berbs, at least. Somehow, I get the feeling he's quite prepared for all that mischief!
