Okay, so here's the result of a random thought that came to me in the last few days.

Months ago, a friend had given me a sketch of an inflated Chaoshi as part of a trade. I was browsing through the collection of pics that I have of him and upon seeing the sketch, I decided to take a shot at giving it some lines and color.

I redrew it in Illustrator with the pen tool, then gave some flat colors in Photoshop. For the colors, I was trying to go for a coloring style that I have seen from  dragonkick. That being said, I frankly didn't know where to take the colors from here. =p

My experience with the pen tool was pretty good, despite some of the obvious errors here. The shoe/foot was particularly troublesome, as the result shows. Everything else, I am quite happy with when I consider the little experience I have with the tool. I also drew in the eyes myself as I didn't believe that the eyes done in the sketch would work.

If time allows, I may come back and trying to refine this further and develop a better coloring style along with adding some more detail. For now, it's a nice start I'd say.
