When http://www.woot.com/ had a sale a few weeks ago on refurbished Sony DSC-HX20V/B cameras (on the left) I jumped at the chance. These sell for around $400-350 but the refurbished sold for around $180 after tax. (Free shipping!)
I've been using my DSC-HX9V for almost two years and I love this little camera, but I wanted improved features like faster focusing, better low light performance, and the ability to take higher resolution pictures while shooting video at the same time. Both cameras can shoot HD stereo video at 1920X1080 at 60p/60fps or 60i/29fps
The only caveat is that the new model still doesn't take pictures in RAW format, but I never used that format anyway. RAW photos look great but they take up a LOT of memory and that's not good when you're also shooting video too.
Just a quick pic to show what I use at cons, and put in Scraps to keep the admins happy.

I finally retired my Powershot A95 after terrible performance in hotel lighting at Megaplex. Bought a DSC-HX30V and have been pretty happy with it. Identical to the 20V, except that it adds wifi, so I can tweet pix taken with a proper camera.
IIRC, taking stills while recording video limits your max resolution to 13MP, but that isn't much of a sacrifice.

Taking stills while shooting video is one of my favorite features of the HX9, but in low light some shots have been a muddy looking or too processed. I'm hoping the HX20 does a better job.
