Was about to fave till I noticed the alicorn-ness

Thank you for commenting to tell me that just because you don't like the design of my comissioners character, my art of not my design is not worth it! I appreciate it! :)

Well, allow me to go more in-depth

Good: The character detail is phenomenal, and the shading is beautiful. The textures are very well done on everything (goes bad here) but the car
Bad: Looks like someone just smudged the hell out of the car- and the before mentioned alicorn whose mark I just noticed was a pegasus... talk about redundancy

In my head I made it out to be worse than it actually was, but the other big focal point of the picture looking the way it does kinda turns it away from the whole thing. You're a good artist, and not sure how notifications work, but I did raid your gallery a bit and faved some works.

The other bad thing is the wing placement. It should be up closer to the upper back, at least above the top straps as opposed to mid-back.

I do a lot of smudging in my painting of bgs, but it doesn't work as well on metals yet as i'd like it to, i guess just more practice, but for what its worth I'm still pretty proud!

As far as the alicorn and cutie mark the design is not mine and i have no control over what someone comissions me to draw and those factors shouldn't be something against my art.

And the wings i totally see where you're coming from, i guess it made sense to me when i did the sketches and could see the folds of the wings and where they're connecting, and i cant really explain that further in text x3 but i don't really think it matters that much for now. haha

All in all, I just wonder if you're not going to fave something because of whatever reason, why make a comment about it? Frankly, I find it pretty rude! Expecially since your original comment has nothing to do with me and my art, but moreso the character design by another fur :C Its pretty upsetting as an artist to have their work commented on with something like that.

I usually jump a little too early with commenting on such a thing. Clicked the pic to enlarge, didn't see desc or title. I know com'd characters don't normally belong to the artist, and I shouldn't put the blame on them, however it is my personal distaste for the alicorn race (aside from the primary...4, lets say).

I'm not the artist, so it isn't my choice, and I know it's done for money, but I wouldn't get shit done with my restrictions, but I won't go into that.

Good art, the metals do need work (we kinda met grounds on that), and could be done with just a smooth tone with minor reflections.

What did you have to edit?

Melly: I missed a few details like the cutie mark (doh), and the lighting was off color. :C but i think i got it all straight now haha
