Weeeell, this pic has a little story behind it =P ... my lovely boyfriend
abluedeer was teaching me a technique where you dont use a black line, so I wanted to do another pic with that technique ... but I didnt know what to do, then one day in internet I found a lovely image of a goddess and I loved the image so I used it as a base to do a pic and this was the result. It took me 2 weeks to finish it and I used all the techniques I know so far. n_n
It was done with Prismacolor, Fantasy and Faber Castell colors, bg done with pastels, and also I used acrilic paint and watercolors for some details and shiny little things in the pic
This pic is © me, please dont use it ;___; it took a lot of effort nyaa

Indeed using so many techniques was very fun, I loved it *O* ...but well, I could have not managed it without you, my teacher ^-~ ... thanks for the lovely comment my love, and bellieve me Im very proud of you too, and so happy to be with you mmrr n////n
Hmmm~!! Wooooow~..... Didn't this one turn out to be a real treat~...! =3
I can see what you mean when you said "no black lines," the ending result turned out to be a tantalyzing piece of deliciousness. x3 As always, that hair has that special flow to it--I love your gradients how you change from one colour to the next, blending things in so realistically and so beautifully--it really brings a smile to my face just looking at majestic pieces such as this... Really impressive job on the ribbons, and the scepter, too--definitely shares some of that Sailor Moon/Card Captor Sakura/magic girl look to it. Dun' take this in a bad way, but the dress is just orgasmic. o.o; My girlfriend would freak if she were to see it--she -loves- dresses, of all sorts. This one is so very, very pretty~...
I sure wish I knew how to colour with pastels...~ How do you cause the backgrounds to blend in so well~? They sometimes look like watercolour~, buiiiii~!! =3 Ya gotta tell me your secret. X3 Cheers to a beautiful, wunnerful piece--+FAV!!

jejejeje thanks sweetie, Im glad you liked it andif you want you can show it to your girlfriend ^-~ ... and well, telling you a bit of my "secret" =P jejeje ... to blend the colors I use to color first with the more soft color, or the brighter one, and then place the darker colors on top to get the effecto fo light...in hair the black normal pen is wonderful to do the darkest shadows ... now, about the dress n_n dont worry I dont take it in a bad way, I in fact loved it too *-* the design its just really pretty aaaaaaand last, the bg and the pastels 9.9 its the same technique as colors, I use the lightest color first and then start to place the darker ones on top, and to give the little blue stripes I used a dark blue pastel and spread it with my finger, lastly (and this is a technique I use commonly) when you have already all the pastels on the pic, you can take a napkin or a tissue paper and pass it really softly over the pic to blend all colors softly to avoid leaving wwhite spaces or little loose particules of pastel that can make markings on your pic ... n__n hope this little explanatios is of help for you dear
Hmm... It -does- indeed help quite a bit, yes. I'll have to try that when I'm doodling with pastels sometime. =P I only have 25 cheap oil pastels I got from Wal*Mart, so... XD Chances are, nothing fabulous until I have 75 bucks or so to spare...~ XDD; Thanks for the help! =3
O_O *speechless*
This...is just oozing effort. This drawing is crawling with gradients, I can't believe you actually colored this by hand, and without black lines too. The dress/accessories are also incredible too, I'd expect to see something like this in a real anime. I could just imagine a scene of looking at a framed painting and this drawing being shown on that frame in the anime.
My only quest is are you this Goddess? My assumption is yes, but it's your call of course. ^^

jejej first thing, the Goddess is very similar to Ziiva, but no, this is just a cat I liked to use =P and well, about the lines and all, its hard to draw something without a black line and a lot of effort and care too but its really fun to try it n__n. Thanks for the lovely comment sweetie
This is just so stunning, Shana! I'm totally amazed at how well this came out! *hugs* WELL DONE!
Where to start? The fabric of her gown looks so rich and sumptuous - the graceful flowing ribbon - the ornate, detailed staff and crown. It's all just breath-taking! This is the best picture I've seen you do I think, and I love-love-love it! =^0^= <3

Now that is indeed impressive! Only thing I can really pick at is the staff, but believe me that it ain't worth me giving ya grief about it compared to the rest of the image. =+}
Just a note here to kinda protect yourself; I really reccomend that you include a link to the image that you used as a reference. This way the owner of the original image won't be able to call you an art thief, some people can be down right pissy about it, so it is better to be safe than sorry. Also, it gives us viewers a better understanding of the "conversion" process that brings about this current pic. =+}

I would have placed a link but I found the pic on those image communities that hold Photobucket and Goups.msn ó.o if it had been an artist's page I would have placed the link because I know how pissy they get with this kind of stuff, but thanks for the advice sweetie n_n
