Some days I think that when I came out of the closet, Kanye West snuck in and took all my clothes.

In 1988, I was in a radically different place than this. Picture a black trench coat, dark brown Doc Martens with red laces (before red laces became associated with White Supremacists, at which point, I switched to purple), black work pants, hair bleached to orange, and round glasses with yellow clip-on driving shades.
This was well over a decade before that particular look became associated with Columbine.

Wow 1988, thats the first year I can remember in my life. Wish I'd been born a few years before so I could have seen the rest of the 80's, still think it was the best decade. Shakedown was a great movie from that year although I had to wait another decade before I was allowed to watch it X3

If you were born in the 80's and grew up in the 90's, you didn't really have it too different. In a lot of ways, you had it better. Better shows, better cartoons. Most of the best stuff from the 80's is only really good because of heavy doses of nostalgia and a side of rose tinted shades. Like my friend Silver said, the 90's were the 80's, just with cooler toys lol
What I found so great about the 80's was the leap in technology, music for instance at the beginning of the 80's, people were still using archaic synthesizers to make basic electronic music but by the end of the decade there were computer programs that could make ANY type of sound, realistic or otherwise. Cartoons in the 90's kicked ass! Only remember watching garfield and ninja turtles before the 90's. But the amount of cartoon shows I watched in the early 90's is just uncountable X3
