A double-crested cormorant with fetching turquoise eyes. It's rare to see them with their crests visible... it must be spring!

Thanks! I was pretty taken aback when I saw his eyes... it's the first time I'd ever seen a cormorant up close.

Thats a neat photo, the eye is really striking. Just watched Anthony Bourdain in China where the people were using the trained comorants to fish for them. They are pretty interesting creatures.

I've hears about the trained cormorants. Interestingly, the inside of this guy's mouth is blue as well.
