Salen isn't quite a reptile. Salen isn't even of flesh. Salen is a godlike creature able to become anything his victim fears or desires, feeding off their energy into making him more powerful.

However despite all this veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerry few would ever see his 'true' form, which is this. In reality he is a monstrous toad. A very angry toad.
