XL Faverolle Ophies

I buy my feathers in mixed selection bags and sometimes I get some really incredible feathers. The feathers used on these ophies remind me of a salmon faverolle chicken, so this limited edition batch have been called the Faverolle Ophies. The feathers themselves are cream with brown, ginger and gold markings and are absolutely stunning in person!

The Faverolle Ophies are also XL - extra long, coming out at 16"!

Ophies Ampheritos are winged serpents that live in Arabia guarding the frankincense groves. The adults are dangerous to humans and can deliver a nasty bite, although they are not venomous. (Thankfully these are just hatchlings!)

They are skinny tubes of soft plush fur with wire inside so they can be wrapped around fingers, wrists, bag straps etc. Their wings are real feathers (not posable) and their little heads are cast resin from an original sculpt and painted with enamel.
