When I was a kid (chronologically) I got a 1950s era chemistry set one time when we went to an estate auction. It was super cool. Most of the chemicals were still good. I mostly tormented my younger brother by creating bad odors with it though. In recent years I've noticed that I have a terrible sense of smell and wonder if I did myself some harm with that thing.
