I knew they kicked that black woman out of the Olympic torch race for having a Tibetan flag.

All I know (which isn't much, because I hate news.) is that China is involved with the Olympics in a bad way. I try to avoid the news since it is always:

Newscaster: "Terrible tragedy! 500 dead! Oh God WHY!? ...in other news!"

It's like they don't even give a shit. I bet if their family died in a car wreck they'd report it the same way.

I don't watch the news, I read about it in Soldier of Fortune.
I also love it when people complain that the president doesn't read newspapers or watch CNN. He doesn't need to. He gets briefed on everything every hour of every day in real time.

I hear enough news from "Didja hear?" from random people every day, so I can't win. I just wanna be that guy who has no idea 9/11 happened living on an island somewhere. I live for myself and those I love, not for my country and what it's doing.

With China's crackdown in Tibet; I am even surprised they were allowed to host the Olympics to begin with; they are a reppressive regime that hasd brutalized the Tibetan people for too long. Personally, I am not bothering to even watch the games.

Yeah, but your right, it's a complete chaos over there.... but I think, the olympics cant be stopped and well all those protestants... you had 4 years to protest, demolish stuff and convince the olimpic organisation that it's a wrong thing to organize the olympics there. But nothing, now you just jump out and say NO... with the olympics being all organized, it makes no sense anymore, it just makes Da Laih Lama want to quit his possition (sorry for the inproper spelling of his name)..
