Slipstream flew around the Colmaton skyline, extending his sensing currents as far as he could. Unlike his usual haphazard flying patterns, he was more focused for this occasion, not wasting any energy goofing around. When it seemed like his search would turn up fruitless, he finally found his target; the familiar form of an Australian tribal wolfess was sitting on a bench in one of the more secluded areas of the park, hunched over and staring at the ground. A hint of sadness on his muzzle, Slipstream gently descended and touched down a few yards in front of her. Startled at his entry despite his care not to do so, Strikira quickly wiped the tears from her eyes as she glared at her fellow BOS agent.
"What are you doing here," she asked sharply. "Did you hunt me down just so you could tell me how you also blame me for everything that's happening in the Bureau now?"
Slowly walking towards her, Slipstream just gently shook his head, "No."
Continuing to glare at him as he got closer, Strikira continued, "Well then you must just be here for a cheap laugh then. The Bureau's jester just couldn't resist."
"No," he repeated as he sat down on the bench next to her.
"Then why the bloody hell are you here!" Strikira yelled. Her anger quickly turned to shock as Slipstream wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his chest.
"To be here for a friend when she needs it the most." Speechless, Strikira just stared up at him, and before she could help herself the tears returned. Gripping onto the large panther, she buried her face in his chest, muffling her sobs as the two sat there. "Take all the time you need, don't worry about anyone or anything else for now. We're going to get you through this."
