I never know at what point I should upload the updated animation, I don't want to flood with updates for minor changes, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and could end up going idle for months until I upload the final piece. I seem to be uploading a new version roughly once a week, this seems reasonable to me. As always let me know what you think. It may slow down if my work-rate drops for any reason of course.
I plan to fully render version 1.0, however I suspect I may have issues with quality/file-size, this version is hitting 5mb, half of the limit here. I may have to upload the final version to a file host and use a limited/low-quality version for viewing on FA. (I could also make this version safe for off-line viewing, the current version will only run on a networked computer even if downloaded, because it requires RSLs)
I've also found that panning the camera, ramps up the file-size. One animation "send dog" in cinematic mode totals 2.3mb alone, compared to 1.1M of the non-cinematic version. I'm still trying to decide if I like the inset video idea or not. Let me know what you think.
I'm disappointed in the "*jump in*" animation, it feels lacklustre to me. Will be working on it in the future to see if I can improve it. I am still trying to decide if I want to show a POV of inside his crop/gizzard. If I don't for this piece, my next project will certainly have that. Also did anyone spot his flame fangs? *grins*
I know some don't like the idea of digestion, as with all my work you are free to imagine what you please. In my case Mauros digests everything he eats, but if you want to imagine something else, I'm not going to be offended. It's not like we are planning to RP the scene, it's your fantasy, go wild!

I'll be looking forward to it! I think more people would like this if the prey were human knights trying to kill the dragon and therfore get their just reward. Undigestible bits of armor in the 'post digestion' phase would also make it a bit more more interesting. These could actually be belched/vomited up, which could be another interactive button, though there should still a 'last button' to engage the invevitable byproducts of digestion. I would consider making the prey creature larger. You have an excellent throat bulge, though I doubt such a small creature would create much of a bulge at all goint down. It would be cool to have the stomach get bigger as more prey is consumed.

I do seek to maintain continuity in the animations. This is hindered a bit though, because unfortunately the animations shown are rendered in advance rather than on-the-fly. This means if I make his belly swell with his food, then all animations played after that point, need to be rendered and included for each step of belly swelling. There are 21 animations at present (All accessible at any time), each belly swell step will multiply that and the file size. If I were using a flv host and downloading only needed animations, it wouldn't be so bad, but all animations are downloaded before playing the flash currently. This is the only way I can do these animations at this time unfortunately. One way I see to prevent the number of animations ballooning, is to force the viewer to follow a more prescribed path. The flash would become a bit more of a story that way. The progression controlled by the viewer, with a few different paths. Actually what I planned to do with learning flash in the first place anyway.
I do like the idea of him belching up armour from a knight, and knights meeting a fitting end. I just love the idea of 'karmic-vore.' Digestion of armour wearing knights also seems interesting too. Ideas even surface for the storyline of such a flash, I'm unsure if that might be better as a separate project though.
As far as buttons go, I am toying with the idea of a button colour code system. So people can see when a button would show digestion/vore/etc. Hard digestion and scat is something I'd only post on my Mauros account. Not a big issue again, I can create a 'hard' version of the flash. This just means that I don't have to mature/adult flag the whole project, for one or two more graphic animations. At the same time my creativity isn't bounded by those with milder tastes.

Wow. The pov angle is pretty amazing. I could definitely feel and smell his hot breath once he got closer towards me, haha!
Oh, but the poor dog. I think in this instance I'll just pretend he's a decoy stuffed with ground beef and pork.
