My SCAdian persona is an Italian Renaissance, and I really wanted to try sewing my own garb, so I came up with this idea...
It would be a simple T-tunic design, but instead of it being longsleeves, I would cut the sleeves off, put trim (bias tape) around the neck linke and arm holes, and then take the sleeves and cut slits in them and trim them as well, to give it hint of Italian Renaissance, so that when I wear a chemise underneath, the chemise sleeves will "poof" out through the slits as well as the shoulder. The front would be open too, as seen in the picture.
The gown would be royal purple, with "true blue" trim, and a white chemise.
One of my SCAdian friends will be helping me make this...I just need to get the linen to make it now :)

I need to buy the linen for it (I wanted to do it in linen so that it'll be cooler for me in the summer time, yet keeps me at the right temperature in the fall), I know a place online where I can get it, but it'll be a little bit till I can scrounge up the money for it...So maybe after AC I'll be able to get it :)
