A CPD Helicopter was circling the financial district, spotlight illuminating the alleyways and rooftops in the search for their suspect. Through a relay Vesara had set up in secret at the station where she worked her civilian job, she was able to tap into the communication channels the boys in blue were currently broadcasting on. Lots of chatter about this thief lately, some statements of his abilities had the characteristic embellishment that civilians subconsciously give to authorities when calming down from the adrenaline. Vesara cared little for those kinds of distractions, and she mainly honed in on the facts that collaborated each other from witness reports and the scant few images that security cameras had managed to capture: male, appeared mid to late 30’s, raccoon, and appeared to work alone.

Perched atop one of the taller buildings in the area, Vesara continued scanning the area of the latest heist. He seemed to have a fondness for jewelry, namely the expensive kind that was pricy enough to be worth the risk of capture, yet not so much that he wouldn’t be able to quickly fence and move on. Cops were scattered all around the store that had just been hit, no doubt trying to figure out where the thief had disappeared to, when several car alarms started going off a mere half a block from where they were positioned. Communications immediately lit up, some frantic voices saying they saw a figure bolting from the noisy car, and further claims that it was their perp. Vesara was about to leave this guy to them when she noticed an odd splatter on the side of the blaring car. Quickly looking back towards the roofs nearby that lot she found what she was looking for, a grinning male raccoon tossing a paintball gun aside. Clever ploy, she thought to herself. Lead them off on a wild goose chase while you flee in the opposite direction.

Firing her grapple shot towards a building he was fleeing towards, Vesara leapt off the roof and swung across the busy streets. Releasing the hook at the exact moment she need, Vesara skidded across the rooftop, stopping in front of the now shocked thief. “Sorry buddy, but no further five-finger discounts for you,” she grinned. Dropping his bag, the thief crouched into a fighter’s position, not so eager to give up his ill-gotten gains. Cracking her knuckles, Vesara imitated the stance, “Well okay then. Make your move.”
