final project for my Materials and Techniques class

the original prompt was to take a fairy tale and either do it straight or do your own take of it, but my professor ended up expanding the prompt to let us explore nursery rhymes and even make children's book adaptations of pop culture stuff. one of my classmates did a Breaking Bad children's book illustration for his final... it was super cute

anyway, this was my first time seriously using watercolor. i LOVE using it so much. i really want to explore it further. the scanners at SCAD are shit and this alone doesn't do it justice. i've had to adjust the brightness in photoshop, but it just makes it look gross. my project was my own interpretation of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
