After much experimenting I feel like I'm comfortable with how this turned out. None of it is set in stone as this is kind of an experimental first draft of a new character of mine, a hybrid shark/gecko/cute lil' fuzzy thing named Audio x3
I'd REALLY appreciate opinions on the design and such, and your input might actually change this very picture! I'll update it depending on ideas I get, and you guys are gonna help me shape up this lil' guy :3
So the reason for a second character is the fact that I hold Ausup very close to my heart as a representation of all that's nice and pure about me. Obviously, that clashes head on with what 90% of furries use art for, and we all know what I'm talking about o.o
So for years I've had to dodge and explain and INSIST that people didn't draw him/write him into.. certain.. scenarios. Now mind you, that works both ways, as I would never bring myself to do the same. SO the punctual necessity for a character who was more than just a simple design that would be allowed and more than willing to partake in all sorts of mischief became more and more noticeable.
So here he is! :3
As mentioned before, Audio's mainly a SHARK-GECKO hybrid, which means that, apart from the lil' tuffs of fur here and there, he's pretty much 'slippery-skinned'. He's fit, albeit quite slender looking, and his eyes glow in the dark, allowing him to have perfect nightvision for those murky ocean waters, as well as his pawpads, tongue, gills and fur.
He has a long, split tongue, much like a snake, as well as webbed toes and a bit of a different pawpad layout, but all of that will be pretty clear and pointed out once I actually draw him a ref sheet :3
Personality-wise he's very playful and outgoing, friendly above all and always willing to make new friends and such. As his name probably clues in he's a huge fan of music, especially trance, techno and electro, and a bit of an amateur DJ as well.
Apart from his design there's a couple of features I'm considering, including the ability to change part of his colour at will, like a chameleon x3
So let me know what you guys think, as he's meant to be a very 'open-ended' character and such~

PS2.: Depending on how good the feedback is and the changes I decide to make I'll also be uploading a naughty version of this picture later on~ x3c

First time I actually tried an underwater scene like this. Always loved having water in pictures, so lately I've been experimenting with it in different conditions and such, trying to get better at rendering the right effects and all. Thank you for the input~!

Ooooo... what a neat design concept! I like the smooth body with just the bits of fuzzy tufts on him. Love the face. Hmm... my only slight tweaks would be to the footpaws. I would suggest making the toes a touch less oval. Have them be a bit more rounded (or squared, whichever) and perhaps have a bit more body leading up to the toe to allow for a nice webbed splay when paddling. Eee... just noticed the heel tufts of fuzz.... so cute. ^^; The idea of him being able to colour change or at least partly change is kinda neat too - go with it!
