Well, they would have to to prevent the white fur from touching the ground and getting messed up. One of the little compromises one must make for practicality.

yup the pad is raised to keep the fur cleaner and to allow it to be worn even in damp conditions. and the pad is solid pink so even as it wears away it won't be overly noticable even when the neat texture is worn off the bottom.
