A birthday gift handmade by me to a friend of mine,
The journal is 5 3/4" by 4 1/2 " and about 1" in thickness (I never tallied up the page count whoops). The outside is made of dyed pigskin leather in forest green with a grey cowhide cord to help keep the journal closed. On the front flap and front cover are inspired Aboriginal designs of a Dingo (inspired by an Australian commemorative coin), burned edges and then painted inside to really bring the image out. The spine is bound in artificial sinew. Accompanied is a goose feather quill for some old fashion ink writing!
Since this was a gift, the Dingo design will not be something I will remake again, HOWEVER I am happy to make custom leather journals, in fact a few are in the works to see if I can sell them in various sizes, colors, and designs!
