Tori are the rarest and most mysterious of the common races, and a source of great curiosity to most. Immortal mechanized corvid birds with feathers of shimmering glass and powerful jets hidden under their four wings, they are built with a technology far in excess of the rest of the world. Though creatures of artifice, they have souls and can even rise again in undeath. They appear in small numbers each day on the dark side of Vire as the planet comes into alignment with the Dark Messenger, with no memory of where they come from and no background that any magic can pierce.
