OK, I need to put in more time at the range. I was shooting my P14 .45 at the indoor range today, and hitting low (see the "beard" of bulletholes?) In frustration, I leaned forward and emptied a magazine at the target. I expected the hits to be all over the place. But no. They'd all grouped in his right eye. Huh?
An old hand at the counter suggested that this might have happened because my anger improved my focus. Maybe. Anybody want to sponsor a crate of .45 ammo, so I can hone my skill to a.....whatchamacallit....predictable level?

Got a P13. Shoots straighter than I can, and will reliably chamber SWC bullets as is out of the box. Grip fits my hands better than single stack 1911s do. Can't say enough good about them.
Haven't gotten to touch the insides of the LDA ones yet, so naturally I'm a bit wary of them.

Heh. Pretty good. What distance?
I'd say you need to drift the rear sight slightly to the right. About 1/64 to 3/64 (0.5-1.5mm), depending what range this was. Of course, if you have adjustable sights...
As to the difference in elevation, do you remember what/where your focus was when you were shooting? Front sight or target? Conventional wisdom says that for best accuracy your focus should be the front sight. If it works better for you focusing on the target, then do it that way. Differences in your grip, power and positioning both, can also do this. So think about what was different between the two strings.
