Thursday's mini-sketch. Is it a bear? A cat? I dunno, but I didn't remember all the details Xioneer suggested for it, and this came out instead. Anthro in a sitting pose. Looking straight at ya.
Adorable, yes?

Ah, yes, the Spectrakis...
Nothing like I vaguely imagined in my mind, of course. Head/face reminds me of a Scottish terrier excepting the ears. I imagine I had traditional feline eyes in mind and pointed ears might have suggested feline more than ursine. Hints of stripes/lotuses would suggest the feline side too. The snout is interesting; the feline shape with the ursine length.
I guess what it boils down to I can decide might have been/be the way to go for the Spectrakis - thanks to this sketch - is the heavier build of the ursine as evidenced in the limbs and trunk, the ursine feet, hints of big cat markings, feline influence obvious in the face a/o head and feline hands.
I also have the impression that the subjec in this sketch is younger.
