Race: Na’Ri

Na’Ri are a frail little race in the swamplands. They are a species overflowing with Jari (life energy; often used as magick). The Jari in their body forms up in a thick material, it flows through their veins in the place of blood. The amount is overloading however, so the Jari secrets out of various parts of the body. The Jari will keep flowing out even when the body has lost large amounts. Thier Jari will slowly go back to them, but because of the need to gather it faster so as to avoid the Na’Ri from losing sufficient amounts and passing out, their body grows long moppy tuffs to sweep up the substance. The Jari that the Na’Ri form are somewhat different for each Na’Ri. Its consistency is like that of honey, and it develops a taste to which is completely random for each Na’Ri. Other Entians often hunger for the Jari that is secreted by Na’Ri, so the race often stay in packs and try to keep aware for all dangers. They barely communicate with the common tongue, often preferring to use their own language of chirps (Similar to cats and cheetahs) even around those who can not speak it.


A) Though the base body of the Na’Ri are androgynous, the forming of their fur and some other aspects help to identify genders. The collar fluff on males often puff up and wrap around the neck and head. Their antennae have almost the same amount of puffs (11) as females, but are about half the size. Their tails are much longer than females. The puffs often counting up to 8 and the end of the tail having a long ‘mop’.


B) The forming of the collar fur on females is somewhat different. Instead of going up and wrapping around the neck, the fur is wrapped around the top of the chest and on the shoulders. Their antennae have 12 puffs, and are twice the length of the males. Their tail is much shorter however, only counting up to 6 puffs, and the end only featuring a somewhat larger puff instead of a ‘mop.


C) The Jari from their body is exited out of five points of their body, their ears, eyes, mouth, shoulders, and inner elbows. The Jari secreted out of their ears is often unseen as their ears are over fluffed and usually catch any before it is able to slide out. It surprisingly doesn’t do much to impair their hearing though. Their eyes constantly tear out the Jari. There isn’t much they can do to stop it, even if they shut their eyes. The honey also comes out from their mouth, but is often controllable as they don’t speak much. Leaving one’s mouth open for too long or speaking too much will cause some to spill out. From their shoulders and elbows there is a constant oozing that can’t be stopped, it can only intensify if one is to grab those parts and squeeze them.



+Extra notes:
The color pattern on the Na’Ri often is based off of the flavor of its Jari. The flavors are things not of the lore’s world, but of our world.
This is a herbivorous species that reside in the swamps. Their Jari will often seep into the water around them, but flow around them if they don’t move too fast. They often climb up into the trees of the swamps and eat the leaves and fruit.
Their size is quite small, standing up the tallest can really just get up to the knees of the average Entian. Most are quite simple minded, and very social. They get very depressed without their family or companions, to the point where they can die. Wild Na’Ri that are found without a family can easily be tamed and taken in as companions to others, or are easy prey.
