I very very much like this idea!
This piece was initially (while still in my head-space) something I'd planned for myself, but I thought the colors would be oh so much lovelier with Shadow's character! Which means I might have to do a few more deer things, and one for me, too! c:

This is amazing!! One of the best headshots you've done, it has such a soft, wintery feel to it. I love the colors used, especially where the deer and background meet--really ties the whole thing together. I freely admit, I'm very biased...probably 99% of the things I "+favorite" on this site are horse-centric...but I can't NOT "favorite" this, it is just too beautiful!!!
Such an enchanting creature...you've always been one of my favorite deer drawers. You just infuse your work with such warmth and emotional gentleness, sometimes melancholy and other times exhilaration, but always so very subtle. Some of your work is almost iconic in the ancient religious sense of depiction. Oh, like the icon, too.
I'm glad my comments pleased you. Your work has always rewarded me with so much [I grew up around deer that regarded children more with curiosity than fear; what you do so often recaptures the wonder and delight I used to feel whenever those magical creatures approached me.] Have a nice holiday and blessings to you, yours, and what you do.
It's so soft and pretty and really emphasizes the delicateness of the deer! It can totally be hard to do a desaturated palette in amongst other brighter pieces haha. You look at it and it's like ahhhh, this is totally washed out and wrong! This has a really nice amount of contrast between lights and darks. It looks like an illustration that you might find in a storybook ^-^
